Stephen Malkmus is a legend, and this is a great album with eclectic influences, on first few listens I hear strands of Joy Division, Can, and Stephen Malkmus is a legend, and this is a great album with eclectic influences, on first few listens I hear strands of Joy Division, Can, and Kraftwerk, swirls of early fuzz-rock and electronica. I really appreciate the streak he's on with these last few albums, enough of the familiar to keep old fans coming back and enough experimentation to keep himself having fun.
